Talking about the reason for joining the program, Ngoc Anh shared that it was thanks to her daughter's encouragement. Her daughter wanted her to meet more audiences, especially young audiences.

"I know I'm the oldest beauty on the show so I'm very excited and looking forward to facing the challenges," Ngoc Anh shared.

Ngoc Anh said she went into the competition with a relaxed mindset, not caring about winning or losing. What she wanted most was to have a stage where she could give her all.

"I will try to stay happy, sociable and have fun playing with the kids as a gift on my 60th birthday," the singer confided.

Ngoc Anh was a famous singer in the 1980s and 1990s with an extremely passionate rock performance style. The singer, born in 1964, was also a famous advertising star at that time. She was known as the "fee queen", "rock queen" due to her high frequency of performing shows.

Ngoc Anh once revealed that her singing salary at the peak was so "huge" that she had to save it up to buy gold for easy storage. About every 2 to 3 days, the female artist went to the market to buy gold and each time she bought it, she had to "count the tael of gold, not the ounce of gold".

Ngoc Anh had a difficult time due to the geographical distance for 10 years. That was when she was both working in the arts overseas and spending time visiting her child in Vietnam. She also tried to send her child to study in the US, but the child was not used to the new environment and cried to go back to her hometown to live with her grandparents.

After thinking about it, Ngoc Anh decided to return to Vietnam to live with her children, ending 10 years of geographical separation.

“When I thought about working hard to earn money, pay for the house, car, insurance, etc., and buy a plane ticket to Vietnam to visit my child, all the expenses of living abroad became unreasonable because I was far away from my child. After thinking for a long time, I finally decided to return to Vietnam to live with my child. At that time, my child did not want to go to America anymore. I felt that bringing him back home was the right thing to do,” Ngoc Anh confided.

Despite her successful career, Ngoc Anh is not very happy in love. Ngoc Anh said that her first marriage was loveless and ended after 5 years. In her second marriage, the singer was betrayed by her partner right after giving birth to her daughter, causing her to lose faith. When her daughter was 4 years old, the second marriage ended. After two failed marriages, the singer accepted being a single mother to take care of her grown daughter.

Although Ngoc Anh and her husband divorced when their child was young, the singer affirmed that she never taught her child to misunderstand their father. The singer always created conditions for her three children to meet each other whenever her ex-husband returned to the country. Sometimes, she also took the initiative to take her child to Canada to meet their father.

The singer revealed that her ex-husband has remarried but still loves their daughter. The relationship between her and her ex-husband is now like that of friends because her personality is clear, there is no need to avoid or treat each other as enemies.

Talking about her two marriages in the program Artist's Life, Ngoc Anh confided that she is a perfectionist, wanting everything to be perfect, to do exactly as she wants, otherwise she would feel uncomfortable. That's why she couldn't live happily with her two previous husbands.

“I was angry but I knew I did the right thing and never regretted it later. I decided to break up with my first husband. Until now, I have never met him again, I also do not know where he is, how he lives. I cut him off, which means I am no longer related. My second husband is the father of my daughter, because we have a child together, so there is still a connection.

I maintain a relationship with my ex-husband as a friend, because he is the father of my child. I have no regrets or sadness about my decision,” Ngoc Anh confided.

At the age of 60, the singer is busy with performances on large and small stages and taking on the role of judge at many music competitions. She always feels happy and peaceful when enjoying her single life. When asked about love, the singer once affirmed " I don't want to mention it because I'm too tired".

"Even though I'm 60 years old, I'm living for myself like I did when I was 20. I'm living freely, independently, youthfully, happily, without being controlled by anyone, not dependent on men. I don't want to disrupt my current life. I'm not blessed to enjoy the happiness that men bring like many other women," she confided.
