October 14, 2022 The Youth Union of the Department of Construction organized a volunteer event themed "A Meal of Compassion, Full of Meaning, Love, and Affection," and donated gifts to support poor patients at the Provincial General Hospital. The Youth Union of the Department of Construction provided 110 free meals to impoverished patients at the Provincial General Hospital. These delicious and nutritious meals were prepared with carefully planned menus and ensured food safety and hygiene. For patients who were hospitalized and had difficulty moving around, the Youth Union members personally delivered warm meals to their wards and rooms.
In addition, the Youth Union presented four gifts, each worth 300,000 VND, to four impoverished patients currently receiving treatment at the Oncology Department, the Dental and Maxillofacial Department, and the Pediatrics Department. The Youth Union also donated 2,000,000 VND to the fund for impoverished patients at the Provincial General Hospital.
This is a meaningful activity aimed at promoting the spirit of "mutual support and compassion," encouraging young people to help poor patients, and contributing to boosting their morale to overcome difficulties, feel secure in their treatment, and return to their families soon.
The Youth Union of the Department of Construction currently has a total of 38 young members. From the beginning of 2022 until now, the Youth Union has organized many volunteer activities "For the community"; coordinating with a number of units and businesses to organize social welfare activities in border areas and remote areas such as: giving Tet gifts to poor households and victims of Agent Orange; providing rice to the poor; and providing financial support for house construction for poor families, with a total value of 142 million VND.
