The leaders of the Hue City People's Committee have requested that the land clearance for the remaining 600m section of the coastal road and bridge project at Thuan An estuary be completed no later than February 20th, and that the bridge be joined by April 30th...
According to the Hue City Investment and Construction Project Management Board (the investor), the coastal road project through Hue City and the bridge over Thuan An estuary are currently being simultaneously implemented by contractors at various construction sites. The value of work completed to date is over 1.5 billion VND out of 2.1 billion VND, reaching 72%.
Construction of the bridge across Thuan An estuary, Hue City, on January 9th.
To date, the bridge project across Thuan An estuary has basically completed 49 out of 50 piers and two abutments, M1 and M2; only pier T50 is currently under construction with the cap beam.
In addition, two 90m cantilevered spans and cast-in-place spans from abutment M1 to T6 have been completed. 32 out of 36 Super T spans have been launched, and construction is underway on Extradose spans K16-T26 and K20-T27.
The northern approach road, located in Hai Duong commune, has been fully completed from Tam Giang bridge to abutment M1. Construction has been completed on 12 out of 17 culverts across the road, with 3 out of 3.2 km of mixed stone embankment and 1.6 out of 3.2 km of earth embankment.
Meanwhile, on the southern approach road, in Thuan An ward, 100 meters of the ground near abutment M2 have been leveled for embankment construction, while the remaining section is still facing land clearance issues.

Reportedly, the coastal road project through Hue City and the bridge over Thuan An estuary has been approved, comprising 3 sections with a total length of approximately 21.8km.
The bridge over Thuan An estuary is 2.36km long, 20m wide, with the main span (piers T25 - T28) having a widened cross-section of 23.5m due to the placement of 2.5m wide tower piers and safety strips on both sides.
The project has a total investment of nearly 3,500 billion VND in the completion phase.
The project's completion rate to date has reached over 72%.
According to the contractors, the bridge project across Thuan An estuary, being constructed in the estuary area, faced challenges not only with the site but also with prolonged unfavorable weather conditions in 2024, making construction impossible at many times.
"Currently, we are taking advantage of the favorable weather to accelerate progress so that the bridge can be completed by April 30th," a representative of the construction contractor said.
According to the Hue City People's Committee, Vice Chairman Hoang Hai Minh recently inspected the coastal road and bridge project at Thuan An estuary, requesting the investor and construction contractors to commit to focusing on implementation to ensure progress according to the timelines, and not to use the Lunar New Year holiday as an excuse to affect the project's progress.
Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, inspected the construction site.
At the same time, the leaders of Thuan An ward and related units are focusing intensely on the land clearance work for the remaining 600m section passing through Thuan An ward.
The remaining 600m of the land clearance must be completed by February 20th at the latest, and the goal is to complete the bridge construction across Thuan An estuary by April 30th to ensure the project is open for technical traffic by September 2nd.
