On the evening of November 16, 2023, at Nguyen Van Dao Hall, Hanoi National University, the final round of the 2023 Law Propaganda Contest took place, with the theme "Law on Gender Equality through the lens of youth".
The Law Propaganda Contest, hosted by the Youth Union of the University of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is for students in the National University to seek ideas and initiatives to more closely propagate messages related to gender equality to the community.
This event is part of the plan of the VNU Delegation and received support from the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the University of Law, VNU. In addition, the event also received support from the Institute for Social Development Studies (ISDS) and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.
Associate Professor, Dr. Trinh Tien Viet, Vice Rector of the University of Law, VNU, emphasized in his speech: "Gender equality is currently an important goal that many countries in the world are aiming for, including Vietnam. In particular, the task of raising awareness of gender equality for the youth group - the future generation of the country is extremely important".
In the context of gender issues always attracting much attention from society, the contest is like a breath of fresh air bringing many meaningful messages from the dynamic, youthful and creative perspective of students.
The final round of the 2023 Spirit of Law Contest had the presence of 4 judges including: Comrade Pham Minh Phuc - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of Hanoi Youth Union, Dr. Khuat Thu Hong - Director of the Institute for Social Development Studies, Dr. Nguyen Le Thu - Deputy Head of the Department of Science and Technology Management, University of Law, VNU and Dr. Nguyen Anh Duc - Lecturer of the Faculty of Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, Hanoi Law University. In addition, the Program had the participation of representatives of leaders of Hanoi National University, training units at Hanoi National University, sponsors, media sponsors for the contest, and many students from schools in Hanoi.
At the final night, the teams brought many creative propaganda scenarios, with the typical colors of the school they represented. In particular, the drama from the tricky situational questions posed by the organizers to the contestants was indispensable, in order to challenge their understanding of the gender knowledge they were promoting.
After 3 rounds in the final night including: Introduction, Scenery, Wisdom, the judges selected the 3 best teams in the competition night on November 16.
With an excellent performance, the team from the University of Law, VNU, Hanoi won first prize in the 2023 Law Propaganda Competition.
Next is the team from Vietnam Japan University who won second prize in this year's competition.
The third prize winner is the team from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
This year's competition has 03 consolation prizes including teams from the University of Education, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and University of Economics.
Some pictures from the final night of the competition:The competition will take place from October 7 to November 16, 2023 with 3 rounds and is open to all students of training units at Hanoi National University. According to the Organizing Committee's report, the Contest attracted more than 8,000 contestants, of which more than 2,000 contestants achieved test results above 24/30 points. There were 10 teams formed from contestants with good results and developed ideas, presented 10 topics drawn by the Contest Advisory Board in the Final Round. After evaluating the quality of the topics, the Jury selected 6 teams with the best performance to enter the Final Round of the Contest taking place on November 16, 2023. |
