Within the framework of the "Return to the Source" program in 2024, on the evening of November 30, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, the Vietnam Youth Union of the province coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, the Department ofEducation and Training of the province, and the People's Committee of Cu M'gar district to organize the "Return to the Source" program in 2024 and the Cinema Gala - Traditional art exchange of the Winter Volunteer Journey in Ea Mdróh commune, Cu M'gar district.
Comrade H' Giang Nie - Member of the Central Standing Committee of the Youth Union, Provincial Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union spoke at the program.
Speaking at the program, Comrade H' Giang Nie - Member of the Central Youth Union Standing Committee, Provincial Party Committee Member, Provincial Youth Union Secretary shared: "Returning to the source" is an annual program organized by the Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Education and Training and local authorities with cycling racing and social security activities, the destination is the revolutionary base areas, remote and isolated areas of the province with the aim of promoting the pioneering and volunteer activities of young people in the movement "Repaying gratitude", "Drinking water, remembering the source", thereby strengthening the education of traditions for youth union members with practical and specific actions, sharing difficulties with the people in the revolutionary base areas. The Returning to the source activities in 2024 in Ea Mdróh commune, Cu Mgar district demonstrate the sense of responsibility for community life, demonstrating the enthusiasm of youth.
“The youth projects, scholarships, and gifts, although not of great material value, contain the affection and responsibility of the young generation, showing concern and sharing the difficulties with the people and people of the revolutionary base areas,” Comrade H' Giang Nie emphasized.
Giving social security gifts to policy families and poor households in difficult circumstances at the program.
Up to now, the total amount of funding donated in the program "Returning to the Source" is more than 300 million VND, specifically: Organizing medical examinations and giving medicine to 300 people in Ea Mdroh commune; donating 1km of "Lighting up the Country Roads" project, handing over 2 charity houses, donating 1 teddy bear library and 20 kind heart bracelets, inaugurating the youth project to digitize the historical relic site of the revolutionary base village of Ea Mdroh, donating 70 social security gifts to families with preferential policies and poor households in difficult circumstances; donating 20 bicycles and 20 scholarships to children and students in difficult circumstances in Ea Mdroh commune... Also within the framework of the program "Returning to the Source", participating units had volleyball exchange activities with local youth union members, attracting more than 200 athletes to participate.
The professional activities of the "Returning to the Source" Cycling Race this year are organized with 02 system contents: individual male-female race and collective male-female race, gathering more than 200 athletes from units across the province. The race will take place tomorrow morning, December 1, 2024 with a race distance of 37km. The racing team will start from Quang Phu Town Square, Cu Mgar District and the race's finish line is at the Ea Mdroh Village Community Cultural House, Ea Mdroh Commune, Cu Mgar District.
