According to Mr. Vu The Binh, responsible tourism linked to environmental preservation for sustainable development has become a global trend. That is why VITM Hanoi 2024 decided to choose the theme "Vietnam Tourism - Green Transition for Sustainable Development" to support Vietnamese tourism businesses in shifting their business direction after the Covid-19 pandemic, implementing the policies of the United Nations, the United Nations Tourism Organization (UNT), and the Government in green transition for sustainable development.
"The fair focuses on activities aimed at contributing to making Vietnamese tourism a green economic sector, based on building green destinations and green products, encouraging businesses to train workers with knowledge of green tourism, and contributing to enhancing the image of Vietnamese tourism on the international stage," Mr. Binh emphasized.
As a leading tourism promotion event in Vietnam and the region, the Fair will also create opportunities for Vietnamese and international tourism businesses to promote their brands, introduce products, and develop tourism business relationships.
This will promote growth in all three types of tourism: outbound tourism for Vietnamese tourists; inbound tourism for international tourists to Vietnam; and domestic tourism development, contributing to the goal of accelerating the recovery and development of Vietnamese tourism effectively and sustainably, in accordance with the spirit of Government Resolution 82/NQ-CP.
Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, Vu The Binh, shared information about the fair. |
