Bac Ninh General Social Protection Facility opens new school year

BAC NINH - On the morning of September 5, Bac Ninh General Social Protection Facility held the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year for children with hearing and speaking disabilities who are being managed, cared for, educated, and trained at the unit.

The Bac Ninh Comprehensive Social Welfare Center is a public service unit under the Department of Health; its functions include receiving, managing, caring for, nurturing, educating , and providing vocational training for beneficiaries of social welfare and emergency situations.

Leaders of the Department of Health presented gifts to the facility to congratulate it on the new school year.

During the 2024-2025 school year, the facility will house 64 hearing-impaired children (aged 7-16), divided into 5 classes according to age and cognitive level. They will receive specialized education using sign language. In addition, 14 orphaned children with HIV will be provided with opportunities to study at age-appropriate public schools according to the curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training .

The cultural performance to welcome the new school year was presented by students with hearing and speech disabilities.

In addition, the Center provides vocational training suitable to the abilities of children with disabilities, such as hair clip making, bag sewing, rattan and bamboo weaving, and electrical work. This helps them develop labor skills and career orientation. Over the years, the Center has collaborated with the Industrial Technical College (Bac Ninh) to organize short-term industrial sewing training courses for 12 children. Since the beginning of this year, 3 children have found new jobs and reintegrated into the community.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the unit will organize 6 classes. It is also planned to open an additional short-term industrial sewing vocational class for 30 children.

At the ceremony, amidst the vibrant and joyful atmosphere of the National Day for bringing children to school, the children watched the live broadcast of the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, combined with the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training).
