According to statistics from Google's global trend tracking tool Frightgeist, 6 out of the 10 most searched Halloween costumes in 2025 are from the K-pop anime series Demon Hunters .

Rumi, Zoey, Mira, Jinu, and Baby Saja dominated the top 5, while Devily the Tiger came in at number 8, giving this Korean IP (intellectual property) a record of 60% of the global Halloween rankings, a feat no Western brand has ever achieved.

K-pop's Demon Hunters has become a cosplay phenomenon.

According to Osen , Rumi's "purple dragon" hairstyle became the most imitated trend this Halloween season. Zoey's space bun went viral on TikTok and Instagram as a new fashion icon.

Mira's pink wig and yellow dress quickly became a favorite choice among Gen Z. Meanwhile, Jinu's "Trending Demon" look topped the search rankings for supernatural characters.

Baby Saja's pink plaid sweater inspired a series of fan-created lookbooks, while Derpy's surreal blue cat style brought a touch of humor to this year's costume season.

This trend isn't just about dressing up in costumes. On TikTok, the hashtag #KpopDemonHuntersChallenge has garnered hundreds of millions of views.

Lumi and Joy's hairstyles and makeup inspire beauty and fashion trends, as well as collaborative collections between the cosmetics brand and manufacturers.

NBC News reports that K-pop-themed Demon Hunters parties are becoming a trend, not only for Halloween but also for birthday parties and other family events.

The official costumes for the HUNTR/X members, a Netflix-Spirit Halloween collaboration, are selling out online, especially in both adult and children's versions.

The trend has also spread to Amazon and eBay, with DIY (do-it-yourself) outfits and "dupe" versions appearing in increasing numbers.

Fans also shared their own creations on social media, most notably a hand-drawn Duffy candy bucket that went viral.

The Korea Economic Daily suggests that this craze is reminiscent of the Squid Game phenomenon in 2021, when pink protective suits and green uniforms flooded store shelves across the United States.

USA Today commented: "It's no surprise that K-pop Demon Hunters are leading the costume trend. This is a 'force' shaping the global entertainment landscape today."
