In an interview with the New York Post on November 27, Eric Trump, the second son of US President-elect Donald Trump, said that upon returning to the White House next January, Trump will prioritize addressing several issues.
"End the conflicts. Right now, our leaders are allowing Ukraine to fire missiles at the heart of Russia – a nuclear power. And we are paying for that. Does anyone really think that's a good idea? No. My father wanted to end the conflicts. That was his priority on his first day in office," Eric said.
Eric, 40, has not been appointed to any official position in President-elect Trump's upcoming administration, but is considered a key advisor in the transition team.
Eric added: " Peace is the first goal. In addition, you will see the government take a tough stance on immigration. Walls will be built. Laws will be enforced. We will rebuild the military to become the most powerful force on the planet."
In addition to those priorities, according to Eric, his father was also particularly interested in fentanyl.
"I can't describe how much my father cared about preventing fentanyl from harming children. He talked about it constantly. He knew many people had lost families, lost children, because of this terrible drug," Eric said.
After winning the election on November 5th, Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on January 20th of next year.
During his election campaign, he was particularly concerned about immigration and the conflict in Ukraine. He repeatedly stated that he could end the conflict within 24 hours, but did not specify a solution.
