At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Quang Duong announced the Politburo's decision approving Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province, to hold the position of Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
On behalf of the Politburo , Head of the Central Organization Department Le Minh Hung presented the Decision and congratulated Comrade Nguyen Khac Than on assuming his new responsibilities.
Speaking at the conference, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung expressed confidence that, with his experience gained from the grassroots level and having held various positions, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than will excellently fulfill the assigned tasks.
The Head of the Central Organizing Committee also requested that the comrades in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and leaders at all levels and sectors in Thai Binh province continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, working together, sharing, and supporting Comrade Nguyen Khac Than in his position as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to focus on leading and directing the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 20th Thai Binh Provincial Party Congress, determined to strive to make Thai Binh develop even more strongly in the coming time.
Also at the Conference, the Head of the Central Organizing Committee highly appreciated the results achieved by Thai Binh province in the past period. Mr. Le Minh Hung suggested that in the coming time, Thai Binh province needs to review and thoroughly understand the viewpoints, policies, and resolutions of the Party, especially the leadership and guidance of the Politburo, particularly the new guiding viewpoints of General Secretary To Lam on strongly reforming the Party's leadership methods; the work of preventing and combating waste and corruption; streamlining the apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently in accordance with the spirit of the Politburo's and the Central Steering Committee's directives; and effectively implement the Thai Binh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030 and vision to 2050, in conjunction with the Red River Delta regional planning for the period 2021-2030 and vision to 2050.
In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Khac Than, seriously acknowledged the directives and assigned tasks. He emphasized that the assigned duties are a great honor, but also a very heavy responsibility before the Party Committee, the government, and the people of Thai Binh province.
To successfully fulfill his assigned duties, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than pledged to make every effort, continuously self-study and research, uphold the pioneering and exemplary spirit, maintain the Party's principles, promote the role of a unifying force, wholeheartedly and diligently work for the common good, always placing the common good and the development and stability of the province above all else. He pledged to unite with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee to inherit and continue the achievements and development orientations of previous generations of leaders and former Provincial Party Secretary Ngo Dong Hai in the new context, to bring about rapid and sustainable development for Thai Binh in the new era of the country, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
We are determined to effectively implement the innovative viewpoints and thinking directed by the Central Committee and General Secretary To Lam in the recent past, especially by proactively and decisively leading and directing the effective implementation of the documents and conclusions of the Central Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18, dated October 25, 2017, of the Central Committee of the Party on continuing to innovate and reorganize the organizational structure of the political system to be streamlined, effective, and efficient.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, born in 1974, hails from An Thanh commune, Quynh Phu district (Thai Binh province). His professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Law degree and a Master of Economic Management; his political theory level is Advanced.
Prior to being elected Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than held the following positions: Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Phu District; Secretary of the Quynh Phu District Party Committee; Director of the Department of Internal Affairs; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh Province; and Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh Province.
Previously, on December 2nd, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than was elected by the Provincial Party Committee to the position of Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, with an absolute majority of 100% of the delegates present.
