In 2024, the Party Committee and the General Department of Defense Industry will be united, responsible, lead, and direct the successful completion of tasks, many of which will be excellently completed. Notably: Well performing the advisory function for the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND) on state management of defense industry; advising the MND, the Government, and the Politburo on many policies and strategic orientations for the development of Vietnam's defense industry; building the Law on Defense Industry, Security, and Industrial Mobilization.

The General Department has advised, proposed, and implemented many key programs, projects, and plans, improving the capacity and potential of defense production, bringing about high military and economic efficiency, creating a breakthrough in the growth of defense production targets and economic production; the quality of training, regular construction, discipline enforcement, and administrative reform has been improved; logistics and technical work for the implementation of political tasks has been well ensured. Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam commended the results achieved by the General Department of Defense Industry in 2024.
