On the morning of December 25, the Party Committee of the General Department of Defense Industry (GDDI) held a conference to issue a resolution on leadership in implementing tasks in 2025. Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense attended and directed. In 2024, the Party Committee and the General Department of Defense Industry will be united, responsible, lead and direct the successful completion of tasks, many of which will be excellently completed. Notably: Well performing the advisory function for the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND) on state management of defense industry; advising the MND, the Government, and the Politburo on many policies and strategic orientations for the development of Vietnam's defense industry; building the Law on Defense Industry, Security, and Industrial Mobilization.
The General Department has advised, proposed, and implemented many key programs, projects, and plans to improve the capacity and potential of defense production, bringing about high military and economic efficiency, creating a breakthrough in the growth of defense production targets and economic production; the quality of training, regular construction, discipline enforcement, and administrative reform has been improved; logistics and technical work for the implementation of political tasks has been well ensured. In particular, the Party Committee and the General Department of Defense Industry have also proactively and actively implemented foreign affairs tasks and international cooperation on defense industry...
Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam commended the results achieved by the General Department of Defense Industry in 2024. Senior Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Nam requested: In 2025, the Party Committee and the General Department of Defense Industry will continue to thoroughly grasp and implement the directives and resolutions of the Party, State, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense on the task of developing defense industry and building the army in the new period.

Regularly consolidate and improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels and the quality of cadres and Party members. Thoroughly grasp and seriously and resolutely implement the Prime Minister's decision and the Ministry of National Defense's plan on restructuring enterprises and streamlining right from the planning stage.
Deploy the development of the 2025 plan of the agencies and assign the 2025 production and business plan to the units. Thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the directives and instructions of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, and the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army on Party Congresses at all levels; lead and direct the preparation and successful organization of Party Congresses at all levels and the 11th Congress of the General Department Party Committee, term 2025-2030. Direct the comprehensive and effective implementation of Party and political activities during the Lunar New Year 2025, ensuring security and safety of the unit and policies for cadres, soldiers, workers, civil servants, and laborers.
