Get married by using ChatGPT to filter 5,239 dating profiles on Tinder

After breaking up with a 2-year relationship in 2021, Aleksandr Zhadan (24 years old) turned to the dating app Tinder.

Tinder works quite simply: users browse through a potential match's profile, then swipe right to show interest or left to reject. If both swipe right, the system allows them to chat.

Zhadan said that finding a partner this way was time-consuming and ineffective. So he came up with the idea of asking for help from ChatGPT.

The engineer used his previous messages as data to calibrate ChatGPT to his liking. After 120 hours of hard work, he succeeded.

Zhadan's version of ChatGPT not only filters profiles with similar interests and personalities to its owner, but also helps him flirt and schedule dates.

For example, ChatGPT will automatically ignore accounts that post less than 2 photos, are incompatible with your zodiac sign, or contain sensitive content.

ChatGPT helped Zhadan filter more than 5,000 profiles and arrange nearly 100 appointments. After nearly a year, the number of subjects was reduced to 4 people.

Zhadan eventually married Karina Vyalshakaeva. The couple met in December 2022 and planned to get married in August 2024.

According to Vyalshakaeva, ChatGPT often suggests topics of conversation for both people while getting to know each other. In addition, it also guides Zhadan on how to propose.

Mr. Zhadan asserted that he is the one who decides on his life partner, not leaving it to artificial intelligence (AI).

The young engineer decided not to release this version of ChatGPT because the operating costs were too expensive. Meanwhile, his fiancee thought that this was a great tool and would help many people.

Previously, Mr. Zhadan made many people stir when he posted information about using ChatGPT to complete his thesis in just 1 day.
