National Economics University opens 67th regular university course

GD&TĐ - On September 13, National Economics University held an opening ceremony to welcome new students of the 67th course.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Bui Huy Nhuong, Director of the National Economics University, shared that after nearly 70 years of construction and development, the National Economics University has become a leading training, research, and policy consulting center in the country in economics, management, and business administration.

The school has always been proud to have trained and provided the country with outstanding experts, scientists , managers, and entrepreneurs.

Over the years, the school has continuously innovated its training programs, promoted scientific research, fostered digital transformation, and expanded international cooperation to provide students with a modern, dynamic, and integrated learning environment.

Associate Professor Bui Huy Nhuong shared that the students of the 67th cohort entered university amidst profound and comprehensive changes in the world, especially in digital technology , artificial intelligence, and globalization.

Our country is facing new opportunities for development with strategic decisions. In particular, Resolution 71 on breakthroughs in education and training, recently issued by the Politburo, further affirms that "Education and training is a top national priority, a key driving force for national development; the key to a strong and prosperous nation."

Therefore, to succeed during their years of study at the National Economics University, new students need to study proactively and creatively; accumulate both foundational and modern knowledge; and cultivate themselves to become individuals with independent thinking, the ability to analyze, create, and solve practical problems of society.

In addition to strong professional knowledge, cultivate foreign language skills, digital skills, communication skills, and many other soft skills to become a global citizen.

Associate Professor Bui Huy Nhuong also noted that, in addition to studying in the classroom, students should actively participate in extracurricular activities; enhance their training and experiences so that their years of study at university become the most beautiful and memorable period of their youth.

"The university is committed to supporting students with the dedication of its faculty, the assistance of various departments within the university, and the sharing spirit of the National Economics University alumni community – one of the largest alumni communities in the country," affirmed the Director of the National Economics University.

At the ceremony, a representative of the new students of the 67th cohort, Tran Ngoc Tu Anh, majoring in E-commerce, gave a speech. She shared that today's opening ceremony was perhaps the most special for her and her classmates, as they had become new students of the National Economics University - one of the most prestigious universities in the country.

The female freshman pledged to continuously learn to master knowledge, train to improve herself, and dedicate herself to contributing so that her four years at the National Economics University would be four years of effort and competition, enthusiasm, courage, and readiness to create value.

In 2025, the total number of students admitted and enrolled at the National Economics University is 8,858. Of these, 50% of students scored 27 points or higher on the entrance exam; 21 students achieved a perfect score of 30/30 on the entrance exam.

Approximately 80% of the new students (nearly 7,000) met the English language proficiency requirements – this is the highest percentage of new students meeting the English language proficiency requirements ever recorded. Of those who met the requirements, about 82% had an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher.
