In 2024, Hanoi Medical University plans to open four new majors and increase the number of admissions based on high school graduation exam scores combined with international foreign language certificates.
Associate Professor Dr. Le Dinh Tung, Head of the Training Management Department of Hanoi Medical University, provided this information on March 9th at a student recruitment counseling program organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper in Hai Duong .
Hanoi Medical University plans to open four new programs: Midwifery, Dental Prosthetics Technology, Social Work, and Psychology. In addition, the university plans to offer Medical Laboratory Technology and Rehabilitation Technology programs at its Thanh Hoa branch. Last year, these two programs were only available at the main campus (Hanoi).
Hanoi Medical University maintains the same admission methods as last year, including direct admission, admission based on high school graduation exam scores, and admission based on high school graduation exam scores combined with international foreign language certificates.
The combined admission method applies to the Medical, Dentistry, and Advanced Nursing programs. For candidates with international English or French language certificates, the university will apply a lower cutoff score based on the three high school graduation exam subjects compared to candidates who are only considered based on exam scores.
"The new development is that the school plans to allocate 40% of its enrollment quota to the combined admission method," Mr. Tung said. Last year, the quota for this method was less than 20%.
