“After the review and official exchange process between the two schools, the partner Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz announced the termination of cooperation in implementing the Vietnamese-German Medical Training Program.
This decision comes from the German partner due to changes in the regulations for organizing the national medical exam (IMPP) and adjusting the policy on international cooperation programs of public universities in the Federal Republic of Germany," the invitation letter stated.
Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine invites parents and students to attend a dialogue to provide clear, transparent and unified information about study plans, training roadmap and financial plans for the courses being studied.
Through this, the school wishes to exchange, discuss and answer questions related to the program such as the situation and reasons for terminating training cooperation; study plans for students in the courses they are studying; financial plans and handling of paid tuition fees; training plans, recognition of learning outcomes and support for students during the transition period.
According to a representative of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, the school is working with parents and students on the issue of the Vietnamese-German Medical Program.
It is known that the school has also reported the incident to the management agencies.
The Vietnam - Germany medical training program, launched in 2013, is the first program to help Vietnamese doctors have their degrees recognized, continue their postgraduate studies and practice in Germany.
This is also the training program with the highest tuition fee currently at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.
In 2025, according to the announcement, the tuition fee of the Vietnamese - German Medical program is 115 million VND/semester.
