Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Le Trung Ho awarded certificates of merit from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to individuals who have made positive contributions to social security work in An Giang province, period 2020-2024.
During the past term, the Central Executive Committee of the Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association mobilized benefactors inside and outside the province to support social security, including: Distributing over 31,400 gifts to poor households, near-poor households, and families in difficult circumstances; building 15 houses, repairing 12 houses, supporting 24.5 tons of rice for poor households and families in difficult circumstances; charity kitchens serving thousands of free meals and soft drinks; distributing over 2,300 free oriental medicine prescriptions, distributing 6,870 free western medicine prescriptions..., with a total implementation cost of over 24.2 billion VND.
In addition, the Central Executive Committee of Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association also carried out social security work well outside An Giang province, with a total amount of over 16.7 billion VND.
Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of An Giang province Danh Phuc and Deputy Commissar of the Military Command of An Giang province Chau Chac presented certificates of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Chuc commune to individuals.
In the 2025-2030 term, the Central Executive Committee of the Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association will continue to guide religious activities in accordance with the law; prevent all acts of taking advantage of religion to violate the law.
The Board of Trustees continues to mobilize dignitaries, officials, and relatives to participate in the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life; actively prevent and combat social evils, strictly comply with traffic laws, participate in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, protect the environment, and respond to climate change.
Strive to build 10 houses for poor households each year, worth from 30 to 50 million VND/house; support social security programs, build bridges, roads and other social welfare projects launched by the locality...
Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho hopes that the Central Executive Committee of Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association will continue to promote the traditional strength of patriotic solidarity, attachment and companionship with the nation.
Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho said that during the two resistance wars, the Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association quietly contributed to protecting cadres, mobilizing the people, taking care of wounded soldiers, and contributing human and material resources. Many followers and dignitaries have fallen for the Fatherland. Today, when the country enters a period of integration and development, the Tu An Hieu Nghia Buddhist Association continues to practice religion through the path of compassion and charity - engaging in the world.
