In the first 6 months of the year, the General Staff directed the entire army to successfully complete regular and ad hoc military and defense tasks, with some tasks completed excellently and with breakthroughs.

The entire army strictly maintains combat readiness, tightly manages airspace, sea, border, inland and cyberspace, promptly advises and effectively handles situations to avoid being passive and surprised. Coordinate to maintain security, politics , social order and safety nationwide, and protect the safety of important political events of the country and the Army.

Since the beginning of the year, 27 inspection teams have been organized to inspect 63 units in the entire army on combat readiness; inspect the results of military and defense tasks and rearrange military and local agencies when implementing two-level local government; promptly adjust and supplement the system of combat documents, improving combat readiness.

Training for National Day parade, September 2nd with quality and safety

Speaking at the conference, General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested to proactively improve the capacity to research, forecast, and correctly assess the situation, promptly provide strategic advice to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, report to the Party and State leaders to plan military and defense policies and strategies to meet the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland in both the short and long term; successfully handle situations, and avoid being passive or surprised.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army reminded the entire army to strictly maintain combat readiness, closely monitor and manage airspace, sea areas, borders, inland areas, and cyberspace, especially key areas, to firmly protect sovereignty and territory.

Closely coordinate with forces to maintain political security, social order and safety, protect important political events of the country, focusing on the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong also noted to strengthen combat readiness inspections of units; adjust strategic deployments, defense plans, and combat plans according to new administrative boundaries.

Units focus on training subjects closely, ensuring programs and plans. In particular, night training, mobile training, high-intensity training in all conditions, close to the mission, subjects, areas and combat plans. Pay attention to the work of imparting practical experience, improving practical capacity, mastering weapons and equipment in the establishment, especially new and improved weapons and equipment.

Comprehensive training for all subjects, focusing on newly established and merged units. Complete and provide training for all subjects with a system of documents and curriculum suitable to the new reality and organization of the Army.

Organize competitions, sports events, and drills at all levels in a practical and safe manner; host and participate in domestic, regional, and international sports competitions with high results; train and organize parades and marches in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, with quality and safety.
