Dak Lak: Police Major died while chasing suspect

On September 8, Dak Lak Provincial Police confirmed that a police officer of Xuan Loc commune heroically sacrificed his life while on duty to capture a suspect who caused injuries.

According to initial information, on the same morning, Xuan Loc Commune Police received a report of an intentional injury case that occurred in the locality. The suspect, Nguyen Van Ty (born in 1996), injured his sister-in-law, Nguyen Thi K. (born in 1989).

Immediately afterwards, the commander of Xuan Loc Commune Police assigned a working group of 5 officers, including Major N.D.C., to the scene to verify and arrest the suspect.

Nguyen Van Ty was arrested by the police after causing the incident.

At around 10:30, when the suspect was discovered near the house, the police force launched a chase. When he reached the acacia forest in village 4, Xuan Loc commune, the suspect escaped, and the task force had to split up to search for him. At 11:00, when approaching, Major C. was suddenly attacked by Ty with a weapon, stabbed many times, leading to his death.

Immediately afterwards, the suspect was controlled and arrested to serve the investigation.
