With the publisher's commitment, from August 25th to 30th, textbooks for all grade levels will be fully available in the Ha Tinh market, ensuring supply for 100% of students in the area before the new school year.

In recent days, disadvantaged students in Ha Tinh have received good news as the Hanoi Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company ( thuộc Vietnam Education Publishing House) donated 2,095 sets of textbooks.

The Vietnam Education Publishing House recently donated textbooks to disadvantaged students in Ha Tinh province.

Joining hands to support and assist students facing difficult circumstances in the area, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province previously launched a movement to build "Shared Bookcases" and "Shared School Supplies Cabinets" in primary schools. The goal of the program is not only to alleviate the economic burden on families but also to educate students about the importance of preserving textbooks to save money, prevent waste, and improve the efficiency of book use. Responding to the directives of the education sector, the movement has been widely implemented in schools.

Starting from the end of the 2022-2023 school year, schools in Thach Ha district launched a campaign encouraging students to donate books.

Mr. Le Van Phuong, Deputy Head of the Education and Training Department of Thach Ha district, said: “Since the end of the 2022-2023 school year, schools in the district have launched a campaign encouraging students, parents, and teachers to support the shared library initiative. This initiative has also been widely publicized through class groups and village loudspeakers... to inform parents and students who need to borrow books. To date, primary and secondary schools in Thach Ha have collected 4,229 sets of textbooks, including 2,352 sets for primary schools and 1,877 sets for secondary schools.”

Through various means such as donating used books and mobilizing social resources, libraries and shared book collections in schools have been supplemented before the start of the new school year. Students facing difficult circumstances no longer have to worry about textbooks before the new school year begins.

New textbooks have arrived in schools, meeting the needs of 90% of students in Ha Tinh province.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Nghia, Deputy Head of the Department of General Education, Ha Tinh Department of Education and Training, informed: “To prepare for the new school year, primary schools have so far collected more than 15,000 sets of textbooks and nearly 10,000 sets of school supplies. In addition, the mobilization of used books for disadvantaged students has also received support from many agencies, units, organizations, and individuals. It is estimated that this source of books is sufficient to meet the needs of about 6% of students in the area.”

Besides mobilizing book donations for students in difficult circumstances, relevant units are also paying special attention to proactively securing book supplies for schools and students.

Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hue, Head of Sales Department at Ha Tinh School Books and Equipment Joint Stock Company, shared: “Thanks to proactively reviewing and understanding the number of students, developing plans, preparing warehouses, and securing capital, textbooks for the new school year have arrived in the Ha Tinh market early. To date, we have imported more than 2.5 million textbooks, meeting the needs of 90% of students throughout the province.”

From August 25th to 30th, textbooks will arrive in Ha Tinh province, ensuring supply for 100% of students in the area.

According to information from the Joint Stock Company for School Books and Equipment, textbooks for grades 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10 have basically met students' needs, and there is no shortage of textbooks. However, for grades 4, 8, and 11, this is the first year of implementing the 2018 general education program, so printing and distribution are slower than for other grade levels. This is also a common situation in provinces and cities nationwide.

With the publisher's commitment, from August 25th to 30th, all textbooks will arrive in Ha Tinh province, ensuring sufficient supply for 100% of students in the area before the new school year begins.
