(Dan Tri) - Beauty queens and models shine together with special ao dai collections, inspired by the image of the phoenix in the architecture and royal costumes of the Nguyen Dynasty.
On the evening of September 23, at the Perfume River Theater, Hue City (Thua Thien Hue Province), the Hue Festival 2024 Ao Dai art program took place, with the theme "Linh Phung", organized by the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province. This is a unique art program, combining fashion with singing, dancing, traditional and modern Hue music melodies, within the framework of the Hue Autumn Festival 2024. The Hue Ao Dai Art Program aims to promote the cultural beauty and people of Hue past and present through the Ao Dai costume and the image of the sacred phoenix. The program honors and praises "Folk knowledge of sewing and wearing Hue Ao Dai" which has just been included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage, aiming to propose UNESCO to recognize it as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The program brings together famous ao dai designers across the country, especially in Hanoi , Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City, with special ao dai collections, inspired by the "phoenix" image in architectural decoration and royal costumes of the Nguyen Dynasty, combined with the beauty of modern Vietnamese ao dai. The Hue Festival 2024 Ao Dai Art Program consists of 3 main parts. The theme of each part is related to the story of the phoenix, the eternal symbol of beauty, grace, virtue and happiness. Images of phoenixes spreading their wings and flying in the auspicious clouds, gliding over the waves, and dancing on the parasol trees... representing the peace of the country and the happiness of the people were cleverly incorporated by designers into the collections on the show night. Beauty queens, beauties, professional and amateur models confidently show off their beauty on stage with unique ao dai designs.
Besides collections inspired by the "phoenix" in architectural decoration and royal costumes of the Nguyen Dynasty, designers also created many fresh features from famous flowers such as chrysanthemums and peonies. Hue royal palace architecture space is staged on the stage of Huong River Theater.
The presence of beautiful and talented artists in traditional Ao Dai costumes also contributed significantly to the overall success of the program.
