Cultural celebrity Le Quy Don's original name was Le Danh Phuong, his given name was Doan Hau, his pen name was Que Duong, born on May 7, Binh Ngo year (August 2, 1726) in Dien Ha village, Dien Ha district, Son Nam Ha town, now Dong Phu village, Le Quy Don commune, Hung Yen province. He was a great scholar of Vietnam in the 18th century. With his intelligence and profound knowledge, he left behind for posterity about 40 books covering most of the contemporary knowledge, not only of great value in history, but also in the cause of building and defending the Vietnamese Fatherland today. In particular, his notes in the work "Phu bien tap luc" about Hoang Sa and Truong Sa when he was the Military Advisor in Thuan Hoa (1776) were the basis and basis to affirm Vietnam's territorial sovereignty over these two archipelagos.
