List of U23 Vietnam players gathering to prepare for the 2024 U23 Asian qualifiers

Coach Philippe Troussier has officially announced the list of players for the second round of the Vietnam U23 team in preparation for the 2024 Asian U23 qualifiers.

On August 27, according to information from the Vietnam Football Federation, right after the Vietnam U23 team led by coach Hoang Anh Tuan completed competing in the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship and returned home.

This is an important training session for the 2024 U23 Asian qualifiers campaign, so coach Philippe Troussier has selected the best players to complete the final preparations.

10 players who just won the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 Championship with the Vietnam U23 team have been included in this list.

They are goalkeeper Nguyen Van Viet; defenders Tran Nam Hai, Nguyen Hong Phuc, Luong Duy Cuong, Nguyen Ngoc Thang; midfielders Dinh Xuan Tien, Vo Hoang Minh Khoa, Khuat Van Khang; strikers Bui Vi Hao and Nguyen Minh Quang.

Besides, the French strategist also selected and retained some outstanding players in the group of 22 players summoned in the first round.

Some of the names that can be mentioned are goalkeepers Cao Van Binh and Doan Huy Hoang; defenders Dang Tuan Phong, Vo Minh Trong and Ho Van Cuong; midfielders Huynh The Hieu and Le Quoc Nhat Nam.

Vietnamese-American player Nguyen An Khanh, who is playing for U19 Sigma Olomouc of the Czech Republic, will return home to join the team on August 31.
