Da Nang urgently directed to handle the subsidence incident on Nguyen Cong Tru Street.

DNO - On December 4, the People's Committee of Da Nang city issued a directive document regarding the road subsidence incident on Nguyen Cong Tru street (An Hai ward) on the afternoon of December 3.

The landslide site is located close to the retaining wall of the Capital Square 3 Urban Area project invested by SIH Real Estate Company Limited.

The City People's Committee requested SIH Real Estate Company Limited to coordinate with the contractor to temporarily stop construction in the landslide area; implement measures to ensure safety for people and property, and prevent possible risks to the project and neighboring projects.

Focus on coordinating with contractors and related parties to inspect the entire perimeter wall system of the project and neighboring projects; take measures to ensure absolute safety for people and property in adjacent areas, such as: the area adjacent to Ngo Quyen and Nguyen Cong Tru streets, medium voltage power poles, and traffic light frame systems.

The investor reported the incident to the People's Committee of An Hai Ward and the Department of Construction, describing information about the incident, the status of the construction work at the time of the incident, and the damage to people and property affected.

Check, review, and evaluate the cause of the incident, report the implementation results, along with the plan and progress of the remedial work to the People's Committee of An Hai Ward and the Department of Construction before December 6.

The City People's Committee assigned the An Hai Ward People's Committee to assign staff to monitor the investor's handling of the incident at the construction site; ensure security, order and traffic safety in the area; coordinate with specialized agencies to promptly resolve the incident in each specific case; report the results of the investor's handling of the incident to the City People's Committee before December 7.

The Department of Construction coordinates and guides the investor in the above issue; coordinates with the People's Committee of An Hai Ward and the Traffic Police Department of the City Police to set up barriers to direct traffic and ensure traffic safety in the area where the incident occurred.

As reported by Da Nang Newspaper, Radio and Television , at 2:10 p.m. on December 3, Nguyen Cong Tru Street - the section from Ngo Quyen Street to Tran Hung Dao Street collapsed, creating a 15m long, 6m wide hole; the drainage pipe under the road was broken and 2 cars parked in the area fell into the hole. The incident damaged 2 cars, but there were no casualties.
