Fire extinguished at high-rise apartment building in Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of October 20, a fire suddenly broke out in an apartment building in Khanh Hoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. By 6 p.m. the same day, the fire had been extinguished and no casualties were recorded.

At about 5 p.m., a fire broke out in an apartment on the 27th floor of block A of Rivergate Residence apartment building, located at 151-155 Ben Van Don street, Khanh Hoi ward, Ho Chi Minh city. The fire and smoke spread so fiercely that hundreds of households living there had to evacuate in many directions to escape.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police mobilized many officers and soldiers with specialized vehicles to put out the fire from many directions.

By 6 p.m. the same day, the fire was under control. Firefighters continued to check and scan the fire locations on the 27th floor to check for any trapped people. The cause is under investigation.

Rivergate Residence is a luxury apartment project, with a total area of ​​over 7,000 m2. The project includes 2 towers of 27 and 33 floors, providing diverse products such as residential apartments, Officetel apartments and Shophouses. Block A of this apartment building alone has about 200 apartments with more than 400 residents.
