On November 29, the Soc Son District Land Fund Development Center coordinated with Thanh Xuan Joint Auction Center to auction 58 land plots in Dong Lai village, Quang Tien commune, Soc Son district.
Specifically, in the 5th round, someone wrote down a land bid of more than 30 billion VND/m2, an unprecedented high price. Many other plots of land were also bid at very high prices, around 60 - 101 million VND/m2.
However, in the 6th round - the final round, they asked not to continue bidding. This person even wrote in large letters on the bidding form, "I'm scared! Please withdraw."
In the end, only 22/58 plots were successfully bid, with prices ranging from 32 to 50 million VND/m2. All those who "shouted" high prices in round 5 asked to stop bidding in round 6.
3 plots of land are paid 30 billion VND/m2.
A leader of the People's Committee of Soc Son District said that when the auction of 58 plots of land reached the 6th round of bidding, it was determined that a group of customers had "sabotaged" behavior. Accordingly, many people had paid very high prices in the previous auction rounds, then in the 6th round, they paid 0 VND and did not continue to participate in the auction.
According to this leader, although the auction was broken, it will still continue and these lots will be re-auctioned by the department in the near future.
It is known that the 22 auctioned lots had the lowest winning price of 17.4 million VND/m2 and the highest of 101.4 million VND/m2.
The 58 plots of land auctioned today range in size from 90 to 224 square meters, with a starting price of VND2.4 million per square meter. The auction will be conducted in a direct voting format with a minimum of 5 rounds of ascending bids.
The deposit for each land plot auction is equal to 20% of the auctioned land plot value according to the starting price, equivalent to a deposit ranging from 223 million VND to nearly 550 million VND.
Previously, in March 2024, a land auction in Hoai Duc was canceled due to signs of violations. Accordingly, in the first round of the auction, 15/33 plots of land were bid up to 100 - 180 million VND/m2, from a starting price of only 57 - 62 million VND/m2.
Then in round 2, the customer who offered the highest price did not bid and was deliberately disqualified, creating conditions for the person who offered the lowest price in round 1 to win the auction. Considering that the customer had signs of violating the regulations on property auctions, the organizing committee sealed all auction registration documents and bid forms to transfer to the police agency for investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
