In recent times, Tra Vinh province has focused on implementing Project 1 under the National Target Program 1719. These are important projects to solve the shortage of residential land, housing, production land, and domestic water to improve living conditions and gradually change and improve life.

In particular, from 2021 to present, from the capital allocated by the Central Government and the province's counterpart, the whole province has invested in 181 essential infrastructure works and maintained and repaired 97 works, with a total implementation cost of 222.7 billion VND, supported residential land for 34 households with a cost of over 1.5 billion VND; 767 households were supported with housing with a cost of 35.3 billion VND; 510 households were supported with job conversion with a cost of 5.1 billion VND; 418 households were supported with domestic water with nearly 1.3 billion VND.

In addition, Tra Vinh province also implemented the construction of 3 centralized clean water projects in Thanh Son, Kim Son, Ngai Xuyen communes, Tra Cu district with a budget of over 7.54 billion VND; supported investment in building facilities and equipment for 8 ethnic boarding schools, with a budget of nearly 39 billion VND...

The completed projects have been put into use and have been effective, making it convenient for people to travel and trade goods, and the rural appearance of ethnic minority areas has clearly improved, contributing significantly to the socio -economic development of the locality. During the implementation process, local people, including ethnic minorities, actively responded, donating land, fruit trees, crops and working days to contribute to the implementation of the projects.
