Regulations for high school graduation exam 2023

The exam consists of 5 parts:

The three independent exams are Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Language;

1 Natural Science exam includes the components of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology;

1 Social Science exam includes the components of History, Geography, and Civic Education ;

For candidates studying the general high school education program, or for candidates studying the continuing education program at the high school level, the subjects of History and Geography are included in the exam.

Exam date and schedule: As stipulated in the annual guidelines for organizing the high school graduation exam issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Exam content: The exam content is based on the high school curriculum.

Examination format: The Mathematics, Foreign Language, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences exams are in multiple-choice format (collectively referred to as multiple-choice exams); the Literature exam is in essay format (collectively referred to as essay exams).

Exam/subject time allocation: Literature 120 minutes; Mathematics 90 minutes; Foreign Language 60 minutes; 50 minutes for each component subject of the Natural Sciences and Social Sciences combined exams.
