Proposal to invest 2,969 billion VND to build an intersection connecting Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway with Rung Sac road

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction proposed that the City People's Committee consider allocating VND2,969 billion to invest in the intersection connecting Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway with Rung Sac Road.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has just submitted a document to the City People's Committee on the investment policy for the project of the intersection connecting Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway with Rung Sac Road.

According to the Report, the Department of Construction proposed to build a different level intersection connecting Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway with Rung Sac Road.

Investment items include building a roundabout overpass to connect from Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway to Rung Sac road and building 2 underpasses with 2 traffic directions from Rung Sac road to Can Gio bridge and vice versa, each branch is about 610 m long.

According to preliminary calculations by the Department of Construction, the Project has a total investment of 2,969 billion VND. Of which, compensation, support and resettlement costs are more than 1,162 billion VND; construction and equipment costs are more than 1,204 billion VND; the rest is project management, consulting and contingency costs.

Project implementation funding comes from the City budget and other sources.

Construction is expected to start in the second quarter of 2026 and be completed in the first quarter of 2028.

When completed, this intersection will connect the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway with Can Gio to form an inter-regional traffic network, creating a driving force to attract investment, reduce logistics costs, and serve tourism development.

Therefore, the Department of Construction assesses that investing in the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway intersection with Rung Sac road is an urgent and strategic requirement.
