Proposal for investor selection in special cases for the aircraft fuel pipeline project at Long Thanh Airport

(DN)- On July 8, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha chaired a working session with departments, branches and localities to listen to reports on the selection of investors for items of component project 4, Long Thanh International Airport Construction Investment Project.

For component project 4, the Government has assigned the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to be the investor for the aircraft fuel pipeline projects from the source port to Long Thanh Airport, the airport city, the aviation industrial park and the airline operations center.

According to the Department of Construction, for the Project of fuel pipeline for aircraft from the source port to Long Thanh Airport, implementing the direction of the Ministry of Construction , applying relevant legal regulations, the unit has prepared a project proposal and submitted a document to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval of the form of investor selection in special cases for this project.

To meet the requirement of completing the selection of project investors in July 2025, the Department of Construction proposed that the Provincial People's Committee approve the invitation to bid, the Department of Construction, to hire a consulting unit to carry out the selection of investors in special cases.

Direct the Department of Finance to allocate additional funding to hire a consulting unit. At the same time, organize consultations with relevant ministries and agencies on the investor selection dossier in special cases and assign the Department of Finance to synthesize and report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration.

For the remaining 3 projects, in May 2025, the Department of Construction held a meeting with relevant units to review the scale of the land plots belonging to Long Thanh Airport to be handed over to the Provincial People's Committee to select investors. After that, the Department of Construction reported to the Provincial People's Committee to send a document to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requesting to provide planning documents for the land plots belonging to component project 4.

Concluding the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha emphasized that among the projects under the Component 4 project, the Long Thanh Airport Project was assigned to the Provincial People's Committee as the investor, and the units need to focus on selecting investors for the Project of fuel pipeline for aircraft from the source port to Long Thanh Airport to ensure synchronous completion and putting into operation according to the general progress of the entire project. At the same time, localities and functional agencies also focus on reviewing and completing legal documents for plans related to the implementation of project investment.
