Over the years, the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army, decrees, circulars, as well as resolutions, directives, conclusions, regulations, and rules of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense , the Party Committee, the Border Guard Command, and guidelines of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army and the Political Department of the Border Guard on personnel work have been thoroughly and uniformly implemented by the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

The implementation work has been concretized into effective leadership policies, targets, and measures, contributing to building a team of officers with strong political resolve, good character and ethics, a clean and healthy lifestyle, and the capacity and qualifications to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

Colonel Dao Xuan Anh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, chaired the conference.

The Border Guard of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province patrols, monitors, and firmly protects the sovereignty and security of the maritime and island borders.

At the conference, the discussions focused on clarifying and identifying the remaining difficulties in implementing the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army. Simultaneously, recommendations and proposals were put forward regarding several key issues.

That is, the proposal is to develop and apply a new salary scale for military personnel in accordance with Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW dated May 21, 2018, of the Seventh Plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (12th term) on reforming salary policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces personnel, and employees in enterprises; in which, the salaries of military officers are based on position, title, and rank in accordance with the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.

In addition, attention should be paid to the selection of students and graduates from non-military universities with suitable university degrees in the military specialties needed to supplement the ranks of officers serving long-term in the army; strengthening preferential policies on housing, supporting social housing and official housing for officers, especially young officers who are married and do not yet have the means to buy a house; and adding regulations allowing male soldiers to take extra days off when their wives give birth...
