According to data from the Ministry of Education and Training , the exam scores of new subjects such as Information Technology, Technology - Industry, Technology - Agriculture, Economics - Law are quite diverse.
Computer Science: Only 11.2% below average
In 2025, there were a total of 7,602 candidates taking the Computer Science exam nationwide. The average score was 6.78 and the median was 6.75, with a relatively balanced score distribution.
Nearly 47.6% of candidates scored 7 points or more, while only 11.2% scored below the average. The standard deviation was 1.48 and the median absolute deviation was 1.21, reflecting a small dispersion of scores.
Nationwide, 60 candidates achieved perfect scores in Information Technology, with no cases scoring 0 or below 1.
Ninh Binh leads the country in average score with 8.461, far surpassing other localities, even though the number of candidates is only 60.
Provinces such as Ha Tinh , Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa, Lai Chau and Tuyen Quang also made it into the top 10 provinces with the highest average scores.
In the ranking of 10 points, Hanoi ranked first (9 points of 10), followed by Can Tho (7), Ho Chi Minh City (6) and Da Nang (6).

Technology - Industry is one of the new subjects of the 2025 high school graduation exam, with 2,290 candidates taking the exam.
The score distribution shows a fairly balanced distribution with an average score of 5.79 and a median of 5.6, meaning that most candidates are above average.
34.06% of candidates scored below average, while 25.59% scored 7 points or higher.
Although it is a new subject, 4 candidates got 10 points, and there were no cases of failing or scoring below 1.
Quang Ninh leads the country in average score for Technology - Industry with 8.25 points, even though there is only 1 candidate taking the exam.
Localities with larger numbers of candidates such as Vinh Long (144 candidates, average score 6.802), An Giang (248 candidates, average score 6.151) or Dong Nai (129 candidates, average score 6.081) are also in the top 10 localities with the best results.
There are 4 provinces and cities, including Can Tho, Ca Mau, Dak Lak and Thai Nguyen, with candidates achieving 10 points in this exam, each place recorded 1 student.
Technology - Agriculture: Nearly 80% out of 7

With 22,048 candidates participating, the average score for Technology - Agriculture reached 7.72, much higher than the average of many other subjects. The median was even higher, at 7.75, meaning that the majority of candidates achieved good - excellent results.
Notably, 78.42% of candidates scored 7 points or higher, while only 2.15% were below average and no candidate scored 0.
Nationwide, 101 candidates scored 10 points in the Technology - Agriculture subject, with a rate of 4.58 points of 10 per 1,000 candidates, quite high compared to the general level.
Regarding localities, Hai Phong leads with an average score of 8.12 and is also in the top 3 provinces with the most 10s (9 students).
Tuyen Quang (16 scores of 10) and Nghe An (11 scores of 10) are the two localities leading in the number of scores of 10 in this exam nationwide.
Vinh Long not only ranked 3rd in average score (8,062 points), but also had 8 candidates scoring 10 points, ranking 4th nationwide.

Economics - Law is a new subject in 2025, the "predecessor" can be considered the Civic Education subject of previous years.
With more than 246,000 candidates taking the exam, the average score for Economics - Law was 7.69 and the median was 7.75.
The score spectrum tilts slightly to the right, with the peak falling around 8.25 points, coinciding with the score achieved by the most candidates.
Up to 78.17% of candidates scored 7 or higher and only about 2.57% were below average. The standard deviation was 1.18. No candidate scored 0 or below 1 point.
In terms of absolute scores, the whole country recorded 1,451 candidates achieving 10 points in Economics - Law, equivalent to 5.89 points of 10 out of 1,000 candidates. Hanoi leads with 172 points of 10, followed by Ho Chi Minh City (166), Hai Phong City (110) and Nghe An (103).
Provinces such as Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh and Vinh Long also recorded 50 points of 10 or more.
In the group with the highest average score, Ha Tinh leads the country with an average score of 7.996, slightly surpassing large localities such as Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi.
