Students enthusiastically experienced AI programming. With a series of experiential activities, creative competitions, and expert sharing, the AI Festival significantly contributed to raising awareness about AI and igniting a passion for learning and exploring new technologies among young people interested in artificial intelligence. Attending the event, Dam Khanh Ly, a student in class 10A10 specializing in Computer Science at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, couldn't hide her curiosity and excitement. Experiencing AI-powered products firsthand for the first time, Khanh Ly said she was very impressed with the intelligent robot models and interactive technology games. "Participating in the festival, I was truly impressed because I got to access so many advanced technologies and new techniques. The most exciting thing for me was the opportunity to directly experience AI tools, interact with experts and friends who share the same passion. I felt like the world of technology was opening up before my eyes," Ly shared.

When asked about the application of AI in learning, Dam Khanh Ly said: "Currently, I often use AI tools like ChatGPT to help with researching materials, summarizing texts, or practicing problem-solving. In addition, I also use Canva to design posters and presentation slides for group lessons. These tools help me save time and make learning much more creative and engaging."

Young people enthusiastically participated in the experiences at the Dien Bien Artificial Intelligence Festival 2025.

Like many other young people, Hoang Quoc Huy, a student from Thanh Chan Secondary School (Dien Bien district), actively participated in the AI Festival. With a passion for technology since childhood, Huy sees AI as a bridge that helps students access knowledge in a new, flexible, and creative way. Huy shared: "AI is not just theory; it's truly changing the way we learn every day. I often use AI tools to experiment with programming, create mind maps, etc. Through this event, I've come to realize even more clearly the importance of proactively learning and researching to apply AI to my studies and life. I believe that, if used appropriately, AI will become a powerful companion for the younger generation."

Not only students, but also the teaching staff in Dien Bien demonstrated a proactive and receptive attitude towards new technologies. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang, a chemistry teacher at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, said: "Participating in this AI Day event, I learned many useful things. In teaching, I frequently use ChatGPT to refer to lesson content, search for practical examples, and suggest activities for students. In particular, I have applied AI-suggested video links to illustrate chemistry experiments, helping students visualize and access knowledge more easily. In addition, I also use software to compose music or create lyrics to help memorize chemistry knowledge: This is a very creative way for students to learn without feeling bored. From the beginning of the lesson to the knowledge consolidation, students can participate actively and happily."

Youth union members are participating in applying AI technology to create content.

As the organizer of the event, Ms. Tran To Uyen, Country Director of STEAM for Vietnam, shared: "Through this event, we hope to further spread the application of AI in learning and teaching. AI not only helps teachers save time designing lessons, but also allows for the personalization of each student's learning process, from creating tests tailored to their abilities to supporting weaker students to progress faster." According to Ms. Uyen, AI will not replace the role of teachers, but will become a useful "assistant," accompanying teachers on their journey of educational innovation.

Beyond just experiential activities, the AI Festival in Dien Bien also symbolizes the province's strong political determination to make modern technology a driving force for educational innovation, economic development, and improving the quality of life for its people. Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do affirmed: "Right here, on this land that once witnessed a victory that 'shook the world,' today we are embarking on a new 'great battle' in the digital age. With that spirit, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee, I respectfully declare the launch of the 'Dien Bien Phu Campaign - The AI Coverage Journey' throughout the province…"

From the practical perspective of the event, it is clear that AI is creating profound changes in education and social awareness. Students gain access to modern learning tools, developing critical thinking and creativity. Teachers are empowered by new technological platforms, reducing the pressure of lesson planning and increasing teaching effectiveness. The community is more strongly connected through a spirit of continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Based on this reality, in the coming time, the province will continue to implement training programs to develop digital skills for teachers, students, and citizens. The goal is that by 2026, 100% of adults will have basic knowledge of digitalization and be ready to actively participate in the digital economy.

Numerous young people enthusiastically experienced AI technology at the booths. The AI Festival in Dien Bien was not simply a technology event, but an affirmation that even in remote, mountainous areas with limited resources, opportunities for learning and development for the younger generation remain wide open with the support of the government, schools, and society. In the digital age, the space for creativity is limitless, and Dien Bien is bravely taking its first steps to give the younger generation the key to unlocking their future.
