She said that Vietnam is Hungary's leading partner in Southeast Asia. The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1950. Over the past 75 years, this relationship has grown stronger on the basis of mutual respect and achieved many good results in many fields, from economy, culture, to education.
In the field of education , the Hungarian Government Scholarship Program for Vietnamese students, launched in 2013, has contributed to promoting the relationship between the two countries. In recent years, each year, this scholarship has awarded 200 scholarships to Vietnamese PhD, Master and Bachelor students so that they can contribute more to their countries in the future.
Ms. Márta Mátrai affirmed that Vietnamese people have made great contributions to the development of Hungary with their talent, diligence and hard work. Among them, Vietnamese women play an important role in the community. They are professors, doctors, teachers or researchers..., contributing to all aspects of social life in the locality, and at the same time are mothers and wives who keep the national tradition alive in the family.
Vietnamese women living in Hungary with their organizations, such as the Women's Union, have many meaningful activities such as promoting culture, cuisine, charity, supporting the Vietnamese community to integrate into the host country... All of these activities aim to strengthen solidarity between the two countries.
