Attapeu Provincial People's Council delegation visited and worked at HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex

On January 10th, a delegation from the Attapeu Provincial People's Council, led by Mr. Souksamlarn Xaiyaseng - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Chairman of the Economic , Planning and Finance Committee, visited and worked at the HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Doan Ba Phi - General Director of the HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex, along with the Complex's leadership.

Mr. Souksamlarn Xaiyaseng - Vice Chairman of the Attapeu Provincial People's Council, Chairman of the Economic, Planning and Finance Committee (fourth from the right) and his delegation visited and worked at the HAGL AGRICO Laos Complex.

During the meeting, Mr. Doan Ba Phi provided an overview of THACO AGRI and the HAGL AGRICO Laos complex's sustainable agricultural development strategy. With comprehensive planning and synchronized investment, the HAGL AGRICO Laos complex is currently implementing an integrated, circular agricultural production and business model on a total area of 27,384 hectares, encompassing banana and mango cultivation and cattle farming. This model optimizes resources, minimizes environmental impact, and aligns with the green economic development orientation that Attapeu province is pursuing.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Souksamlarn Xaiyaseng highly appreciated the scale of production and development strategy of HAGL AGRICO Laos. He stated that the visit aimed not only to learn about the management and operation practices of the complex but also to promote strategic cooperation plans in the fields of economics, planning, and finance, including agricultural investment projects. This would lead to diversifying investment resources and improving financial efficiency.

“We hope that THACO AGRI will continue to expand its investment and apply advanced technology to develop Laos’ agricultural sector, contributing to the local economic growth and strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two sides,” added Mr. Souksamlarn Xaiyaseng.

During the working session, the leaders of HAGL AGRICO Laos proposed that the delegation assist in accelerating the completion of investment projects, optimizing economic efficiency, and making a significant contribution to the sustainable development of Attapeu province.
