Following the success of the Vietnamese Paralympic team at previous Games, the Vietnamese Paralympic team is preparing to conquer the largest regional sporting arena for people with disabilities. This is a highly humane international sporting event of great significance, aiming to promote good relations, solidarity, friendship, and mutual understanding among ASEAN countries.

This is also a very fierce competition, bringing together many top disabled athletes in the region, and will be a great opportunity for Vietnamese disabled athletes to demonstrate their extraordinary willpower and determination to overcome their own obstacles, confidently rise above their limitations, and affirm their aspirations for victory, integration, and contribution. On behalf of the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation, weightlifter Le Van Cong promises to fulfill all assigned tasks with utmost dedication and a spirit of fair play to achieve the highest possible results at the Games .

In his address and assignment of tasks to the Vietnamese Paralympic team, Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong said: "The Vietnamese Paralympic team is participating in this ASEAN Para Games with many goals: striving to achieve the best results in the Games, exchanging knowledge and learning, improving performance, surpassing themselves, and conveying to international friends the image of Vietnam and its people as a country of peace, friendship, and friendliness, yet resilient and with a strong will to succeed. Therefore, I hope that all officials, coaches, and athletes of the Vietnamese Paralympic team are fully aware of the responsibility as well as the honor and pride entrusted to them by the country, in order to successfully fulfill their nhiệm vụ at the Games."

The Vietnamese Paralympic team participating in the 12th Southeast Asian Paralympic Games in Cambodia consists of 164 members, including 16 delegation officials; 21 coaches and 127 athletes (including 2 navigators) competing in 8 out of 13 sports: athletics, swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, chess, judo and boccia.
