Explaining the choice of this theme, the OBC representative likened this current period to the most difficult time for businesses, likening it to a tsunami, with small and micro-enterprises being particularly vulnerable. Therefore, OBC hopes to act as a strong enough ship to support small business owners in overcoming this challenging phase.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, founder and chairman of OBC, believes this is an opportunity for businesses to promote their brands to business owners in the Southeast region, and to showcase products to reach B2B customers (business-to-business direct transactions). The event features 200 businesses with 50 booths showcasing their products.
Nearly 50 booths showcased products at the OBC Fair.
"OBC was formed with the vision of serving the Vietnamese business community, connecting trade, training and coaching businesses to optimize their management capabilities, and gradually integrating the business community with global businesses. OBC is committed to sharing experiences and knowledge in business management, personal development skills, and networking skills to build a business community operating with six core values: integrity, community, recognition, responsibility, knowledge, and positivity," Mr. Hoa shared.
According toOCB , there are currently about 1.7 million small and micro-enterprises nationwide, and it is projected that this number will reach approximately 2.4 million by 2030. When establishing OCB, the founders hoped to attract 8,000 businesses to join, and 47,000 members by 2030.
According to OCB representatives, small and micro enterprises currently account for over 80% of Vietnam's businesses and create the most jobs. However, these businesses have limited access to and application of advanced global knowledge platforms and tools.
