Diverse products for the contest
Right from the beginning of the year, the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion advised the Department of Industry and Trade to submit to the Provincial People's Committee to establish a Provincial Council for Selecting Industrial Park Products; develop a periodic plan to organize every 2 years and organize propaganda and guidance for rural industrial establishments to participate.
Participating in the 2025 provincial CNNTTB election, the Election Council received 71 applications from 34 units. After the preliminary round, 67 applications from 32 units were qualified to compete. This is one of the elections with the highest rate of qualified applications ever.Mr. Quang Van Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: The Council has seriously scored according to the regulations, unanimously recognizing 30 provincial-level agricultural and forestry products in 2025. Notably, the group of processed agricultural and forestry products has 28 products, reflecting the strengths of raw material areas and the investment of enterprises and cooperatives in improving quality.

In addition, this year there are 2 products in the handicraft group and other product groups, in which, notably there is the clean cutting board set without sawdust of ON Family Furniture Cooperative, this is a new product that has received many positive reviews thanks to its design, durability and commercial potential.
Aratay Coffee Cooperative, May village, Muong Chanh commune, for the first time participating in the competition, impressed with its Honey coffee product, which was highly appreciated for its unique flavor, strictly controlled processing process and the ability to expand the specialty coffee market. Ms. Cam Thi Mon, Director of the Cooperative, shared: This year, the Cooperative registered to participate in 4 products, including: Natural green coffee beans, Honey green coffee beans, Natural coffee powder and beans, Honey coffee powder and beans. The Cooperative's Honey coffee was recognized as a provincial specialty product, which is the driving force for the Cooperative to continue to invest deeply in the processing process, strengthen links with farmers and expand the specialty coffee area.
In the field of fruit processing, Quyet Thanh Agricultural Cooperative, Thao Nguyen Ward continues to affirm its brand with low-sugar dried seedless plum products, applying Korean - Japanese drying technology, creating natural flavors and stable quality. Ms. Luong Thi Thanh, Deputy Director of the Cooperative, said: The Cooperative is aiming to build a high-quality OCOP product chain to meet the more demanding market.

Viet Nhat Clean Food Company Limited participated in the voting with the La'pure cold brew coffee product, made from 100% Arabica Son La. Mr. Vo Duc Truong, Director of the Company, shared: The Council has advised and supported businesses to complete quality standards and technical documents. The voting results are an opportunity for us to promote our deeply processed coffee products to a wider market.
As for Moc Chau Red Flag Tea Company, Thao Nguyen Ward, it submitted 4 products to the contest: Milk Black Tea, Milk Oolong, Milk Macha, Milk Jasmine Green Tea, of which the Milk Matcha product was recognized as a provincial-level CNNTTB in 2025. Mr. Tran Manh Hoa, Permanent Deputy General Director of the Company, said: The process of producing matcha powder (main ingredient) is quite complicated and must strictly follow the cultivation process. The tea used to make matcha is grown using the shading method (covered with nets) about 20 days before harvest to increase chlorophyll, making the green tea leaves darker, less astringent, and increasing umami sweetness. Especially, when harvesting tea, it must be picked by hand.

Voted as a 2025 CNNTTB product also include 200g Van Son Oolong tea of Vinatea Moc Chau; organic green tea of Chieng Di Tea Joint Stock Company, Van Ho commune; Bach Diep black garlic of Tay Bac Cooperative, Yen Chau commune; premium white sugar 1 of Son La Sugarcane Joint Stock Company; freeze-dried yogurt of Amifarm business household, Tan Yen commune; Manh Hung lingzhi mushroom of Manh Thang Company Limited, Mai Son commune... The products recognized as CNNTTB products this year were highly appreciated by the voting council, creating opportunities to introduce and promote products, contributing to building strong brands for typical products, imbued with regional cultural identity.

Positive changes in rural industrial sectors.

According to the Selection Council, this year's product quality has many new features compared to previous years. The competition documents are carefully invested, especially the part demonstrating quality standards, technical indicators, and food safety certification. Packaging and labels have been significantly improved, demonstrating the professionalism of businesses and cooperatives. Technology content has been increased, especially in the group of agricultural processing products, from dryers, roasters, extraction technology, and preservation technology. The community spirit and sustainable development impact are evident, many products are associated with stable raw material areas, helping to increase income for farmers.
Mr. Dao Van Quang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, shared: The highlight of the 2025 voting period is the uniformity in product quality. Many units participated for the first time, but showed very good preparation, proving the positive change of the rural industrial sector.
The Council also assessed that, in the context of the province implementing a two-level government model, the guidance and support work for businesses and cooperatives is being carried out more quickly and effectively, creating favorable conditions for IT establishments to access the voting process and post-voting support programs.

The voting activity aims to honor products, motivate businesses and cooperatives to innovate processes, improve product standards and expand markets. Products recognized as provincial-level high-tech products are given priority to participate in fairs, trade promotion events, and introduce them in regional connection programs. The voting council will also select products to participate in the national high-tech product voting, contributing to spreading the brand of Son La specialties, enhancing the value of local products in the domestic and international markets.
