The investment attraction results as of the end of November 2025 reached more than 2.5 billion USD of FDI capital - exceeding the plan by 1,880 million USD, a clear demonstration of investors' confidence. In particular, investment capital flows are shifting strongly in a selective direction: prioritizing high technology, environmental friendliness, supporting industry and logistics.

Attractive domestic destination, new "international investment gateway"

- Dong Nai is currently considered an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors. Could you share about the province’s potential, opportunities and efforts in creating favorable conditions for investors?

- Dong Nai possesses many outstanding advantages to attract investment, in terms of geographical location, infrastructure, policies and development orientation. With its central location in the Southern key economic region, increasingly complete connecting infrastructure and especially the Long Thanh International Airport project about to come into operation, Dong Nai is not only an attractive domestic destination but also emerging as a new "international investment gateway". From July 1, 2025, the 2-level local government model in the direction of streamlining, efficiency and flexibility has been drastically implemented, contributing to significantly improving the capacity of management and serving businesses and investors. The mindset of "creative and accompanying government" is being clearly demonstrated through specific actions.

The Board continuously reviews, cuts down processes, applies high-level online public services, shortens the time to process investment, land, construction, environment records, etc. At the same time, strengthens consulting and support for businesses right from the stage of surveying, selecting locations, to implementing and operating projects.

We prioritize attracting projects that use high technology, are environmentally friendly, energy-saving, and require less manual labor, focusing on areas such as supporting industries, refined processing, electrical and electronic equipment, precision mechanics, logistics, biotechnology, and new materials. This orientation not only increases added value but also helps Dong Nai move towards a green, smart, and sustainable industrial development model...

Step by step forming a smart industrial ecosystem

- Can you share more specifically the very positive results in attracting investment, especially FDI, of Dong Nai up to now?

- In 2025 alone, by the end of November, the whole province had attracted more than 2.6 billion USD in FDI capital - exceeding 140% of the annual plan, rising to the leading group in the country. Of which, there were up to 151 newly licensed FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 1 billion USD, 176 operating FDI projects were adjusted to increase capital, totaling about 1.49 billion USD. This is a very impressive number, showing that not only new investors are interested but existing investors also continue to trust and expand their scale in Dong Nai.

Dong Nai province leaders awarded investment registration certificates to foreign enterprises.

After more than 30 years since the establishment of industrial parks, up to now, Dong Nai province's industrial parks, economic zones, and hi-tech parks have attracted 45 countries and territories to invest with a total of 2,744 projects. Of which, there are 1,910 foreign-invested projects with a total registered investment capital of 36,672.39 million USD, implemented capital of 27,403.07 million USD and 834 domestic projects with a total registered investment capital of 170,630 billion VND. The ratio of implemented capital (disbursement) compared to the total registered investment capital shows the practicality in attracting investment and the capacity of investors in implementing projects in industrial parks and economic zones.

FDI capital flows have not only increased in quantity but also changed significantly in quality. Most of the new projects are in the fields of processing and manufacturing, high technology, electrical and electronic equipment production, precision mechanics and supporting industries, coming from countries with technological potential such as Japan, Korea, Germany, Singapore, etc.

- In the period of 2026 - 2030, how will Dong Nai orient to attract investment and what solutions will it implement to improve competitiveness, sir?

- In the coming period, Dong Nai aims to become a modern industrial center, developing in a green/ecological direction and integrating with smart urban - service - logistics. To achieve this, investment attraction must shift strongly from breadth to depth, changing the model from linear economy to circular economy. The province will focus on selectively attracting FDI capital, prioritizing high-tech projects, modern technology, supporting industries, choosing investors with prestige, brand, and experience in the world and in Vietnam.

In the first 11 months of 2025, Dong Nai attracted nearly 2.5 billion USD in FDI capital.

Along with that, prioritize the development of industrial parks according to a green and closed development model: industry - urban - service; gradually develop urbanization, increase services for workers. With newly established industrial parks, focus on calling for investment in specialized directions to create a chain of projects with the ability to link in production and product consumption. With operating industrial parks, encourage businesses to invest, apply production and business models and technologies associated with environmental protection, use renewable energy sources.
