Specifically, the Ministry of Construction leaders further informed that, as of August 19th, 2,620 km of expressways had been completed and put into operation (including 2,476 km of main routes and 144 km of access roads). It is expected that by December 19th, 3,513 km of expressways (including 3,188 km of main routes and 325 km of access roads) will be completed and opened for technical traffic; simultaneously, 1,700 km of coastal roads will be completed, and Long Thanh International Airport will have completed its component projects to begin technical flight operations.
In addition, from 2021 to 2025, the Ministry of Construction completed 59 national highway projects with a total length of 1,586.5 km, with 21 projects totaling 456 km completed in 2025 alone.

Regarding preparations for the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of construction projects on December 19th, the Ministry of Construction announced that as of December 8th, it had compiled a list of 245 projects and works across 34 provinces and cities, with a total investment of 1,345,415 billion VND.
Previously, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long issued a document requesting the Ministry of Construction, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces, and related units to focus intensely, mobilize maximum resources, and work in "3 shifts, 4 teams" to ensure the projects and sections are completed on schedule, without delay, contributing to the completion of over 3,000 km of expressways as targeted.
