Expected to welcome nearly 90,000 cruise ship tourists in the first quarter of 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, Quang Ninh is expected to welcome about 70 cruise ships with nearly 90,000 passengers, an increase of 1.3 times over the same period in 2024.

In January 2025 alone, there will be 11 cruise ships arriving at Ha Long international port, bringing about 16,000 tourists to visit Quang Ninh.

Two cruise ships Seabourn Encore and Silver Whisper docked at Ha Long International Cruise Port on January 17, bringing nearly 1,000 visitors from Europe and America to visit Quang Ninh.

According to the itinerary, the Seabourn Encore left Ha Long International Passenger Port on the evening of January 17 to continue moving to Hong Kong (China) and is expected to return to port in February 2025.

The Silver Whisper will leave tonight (January 18) and is scheduled to return to port in February and March.

International tourists check in to visit Ha Long Bay

Mr. Pham Van Hiep, Director of Ha Long International Passenger Port, said: It is expected that during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday in 2025, Quang Ninh will welcome about 7,000 cruise ship tourists, mainly tourists from Europe and America.

According to the ship registration schedule, the Silver Dawn cruise ship will be the first ship of the year of the Snake 2025 to dock at Ha Long International Passenger Port. To prepare for the welcoming of the "first ship of the year", Ha Long International Passenger Port will coordinate with Quang Ninh province to ensure a professional and warm reception process for tourists.

"Not only during the Lunar New Year but throughout 2025, Ha Long International Passenger Port will continuously improve service quality. We have prepared a detailed plan for operations as well as infrastructure investment, ensuring security and safety in welcoming ships and tourists here," Mr. Hiep affirmed.
