It is expected that on October 16, the flooded traffic routes in Bac Ninh province will be completely drained.

BAC NINH - According to authorities, as of 12 noon on October 14, the entire Bac Ninh province still had 7 points on some provincial roads flooded with water 0.4 - 0.6 meters deep, a decrease of 5 points compared to October 13.

Specifically, on provincial road 292 at Km7+650 through Tien Luc commune, the water level reached 0.6 m; on provincial road 295 at Km32+800 through Phuc Hoa commune, the water level reached 0.55 m; and on provincial road 296 at Km8+750 through Hop Thinh commune, the water level reached 0.4 m.

The flooding occurred on Provincial Road 398B in the section passing through Viet Yen ward.

Provincial Road 298 at Km8+300 in Tan Yen commune is flooded to a depth of 0.6 m and 0.4 m at Km9+130 in Viet Yen ward; Provincial Road 398B is flooded to a depth of 0.4 m at both locations: Km20+400 in My Thai commune and Km28+650 in Viet Yen ward and Tan Yen commune. It is expected that the water will recede on these roads by October 16th.

According to the Department of Construction, at the aforementioned flooded areas, they have placed warning signs about deep water levels, strung ropes, and stationed personnel to direct traffic and ensure safety for people and vehicles on the route.

In addition to flooding, recent heavy rains and floods have caused landslides on some provincial and national roads, resulting in soil and rocks spilling onto the road surface, and landslides on the embankment causing road subsidence. For the locations with landslides on the embankment, the Department of Construction has directed the Bac Giang Road Construction Joint Stock Company to clear all the soil and rocks spilling onto the road surface, ensuring smooth traffic flow.

Bypass road on National Highway 31 at Km96+800.

To date, at the landslide site at Km96+800 on National Highway 31, the relevant unit of the Department has completed the construction of a bypass road, reinforcing the road surface with a layer of crushed stone aggregate to ensure that cars under 3.5 tons and rural vehicles can pass through.

Due to landslides on the embankment, damage to auxiliary structures, and remaining roadbeds and surfaces on several other routes such as National Highway 279, Provincial Road 291, Provincial Road 248, etc., which have not yet been repaired, Bac Giang Road Construction Joint Stock Company has erected barricades and placed warning signs.
