Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 launched, on sale from early August in Vietnam

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 both have significant design changes compared to their predecessors, while also being more powerful in terms of Galaxy AI features.

Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7 and new Galaxy Watch series launched simultaneously

On the evening of July 9 (Vietnam time), Samsung officially introduced a new series of foldable smartphones including Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 after a long wait from users. This year, the duo has many improvements in appearance, hardware and design compared to the previous generation.

Galaxy Z Fold7 - the most advanced model in Samsung's foldable line is redesigned with a thickness of only 4.2 mm when opened and when folded, only as thick as the current high-end bar-shaped smartphones. Meanwhile, Galaxy Z Flip7 expands the borderless secondary screen, as well as improving the device's thinness to 6.5 mm in bar mode. Samsung still ensures the durability of the duo with an improved Armor Aluminum frame, adding Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 - Victus 2 and IPX8 dust and water resistance.

This year's Galaxy Z series upgrades Galaxy AI with deep integration of Vietnamese, optimizing AI experience for large screens. The company introduces a series of new support features such as screen sharing with Gemini Live, circling to search while playing games, displaying AI results in many different views, dragging and dropping multi-screen AI content... With the cooperation with Google, new Galaxy Z series users will experience Gemini AI Pro on the device for free for 6 months from the date of device activation.

In terms of configuration, both are equipped with advanced 3nm processors, Snapdragon 8 Elite chip exclusively for Galaxy (on Galaxy Z Fold7) and Exynos 2500 (Galaxy Z Flip7). At the same time, the device is also upgraded with zoom capabilities when recording video in low light conditions, with 2 steps of STF noise reduction. In particular, Galaxy Z Fold7 increases the quality of the main camera to 200 MP.

Launched on the same stage are the Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic with the thinnest design ever, 11% less thickness thanks to component restructuring and equipped with a new Dynamic Lug system. The screen increases the maximum brightness to 3,000 nits, combined with a 3nm chip for higher performance and more battery saving, along with dual GPS for precise positioning. The watch also integrates an upgraded BioActive sensor, providing in-depth health data, along with a series of new features such as antioxidant index to support anti-aging, ideal sleep time guidance, blood pressure monitoring during sleep, high stress warning, AI energy score combining physical and mental index to give suitable lifestyle suggestions.

The Galaxy Watch8 is the first watch to run Wear OS 6 and integrate Gemini AI, allowing for natural voice control and easy daily tasks. In addition, the product line also includes the Watch8 Classic with a physical bezel and Watch Ultra, along with the compact Galaxy Ring, with a 7-day battery, meeting a variety of user needs.

Galaxy Z Fold7 sold in Vietnam from 47 million VND

Immediately after Samsung's product launch event ended, official distributors in Vietnam simultaneously announced the listed prices and incentives for the products. Accordingly, the Galaxy Z Fold7 has a listed price of 46.99 million VND for the standard version of 12 GB RAM - 256 GB ROM, with 3 colors: metallic gray, jet black, navy blue. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is priced from 28.99 million for the 256 GB ROM version. It comes with 3 colors inspired by nature: coral red, jet black, navy blue.

According to a representative of CellphoneS, before the launch event, the system recorded nearly 800 customers who were interested and registered for information in advance. The system predicts that the percentage of customers who pre-ordered the Galaxy Z Fold7 will continue to account for the majority, at about 65% to 70% of the total number of orders. With the Galaxy Z Flip7, customers will most likely pre-order the new colors coral red and navy blue.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Khue - representative of Viettel Store system, assessed that this year's Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 have had a complete "transformation" in both appearance and performance. Mr. Khue commented: "The AI feature has been strongly upgraded, making the Galaxy Z Fold7 the top choice for those who love novelty and luxury. With the upgraded screen and performance, we predict that pre-order output will increase by 30% compared to the previous generation".

Meanwhile, a representative of the SamCenter system recorded more than 5,000 customers registering their interest in Samsung's new flagship, and up to 70% paid much attention to the Galaxy Z Fold7, 25% to the Galaxy Z Flip7 and only 5% to the new Galaxy Watch line. "With the new improvements of Samsung's super product line and exclusive offers, we expect revenue from the newly launched foldable smartphone duo to increase by 30% compared to last year," a representative of SamCenter shared with Thanh Nien .

A retail system said it will start taking orders from July 9 to July 25, with early deliveries for those who pre-ordered starting July 26. The official launch date nationwide is set for August 4.
