Free health screening for the elderly

From November 20 to December 4, Vi Xuyen Regional Medical Center launched a communication campaign combined with free screening for common diseases for the elderly in 7 communes: Lao Chai, Thanh Thuy, Cao Bo, Bach Ngoc, Phu Linh, Viet Lam and Thuong Son.

Here, doctors and nurses conducted examination steps such as: Cardiovascular and respiratory examination, pulse - blood pressure measurement, weight - height; dental - jaw - face examination; ear - nose - throat; endocrine; musculoskeletal; vision assessment; skin disease examination; medical history and family history. During the implementation period, Vi Xuyen Regional Medical Center organized free health examinations and screening for 1,117 elderly people.

Through the activity, it contributes to early detection of disease risks, helping the elderly receive timely advice and treatment guidance; at the same time, raising public awareness of health care in the context of population aging. This is a practical and meaningful activity, demonstrating the health sector's concern for the health care of the elderly in the area.
