According to The Verge , a new game set in the Final Fantasy VII (FFVII) universe will be released on iOS and Android on September 7. Fans can now pre-order Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis on the App Store and pre-register on Google Play before the mobile game officially launches.
The next Final Fantasy VII mobile game is coming in September
The new game will bring together moments from other FFVII titles, while adding some new ones, and will allow players to experience the journey of the young hero Sephiroth.
Ever Crisis ' art style is inspired by the original Chibi characters of the first PlayStation release, but will feature some graphical improvements.
Square Enix first announced Ever Crisis in 2021 alongside its battle royale action game Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. The game was originally slated for a 2022 release, but delays pushed it back, and the company didn't launch a closed beta until July of this year.
Ever Crisis will be free-to-play, but according to Android Police's review of the closed beta, players will have to pay to play 'gacha' to get weapons and items.
