| Domestic coffee price list updated at 4:30 a.m. on February 10, 2025 |
Brazil, the world’s largest coffee producer, is expected to see its coffee output fall 1.8% to 63.2 million bags in 2025-26 due to adverse weather. Arabica output is expected to fall 12%, while robusta is expected to rise 24%. A stronger Brazilian real is also supporting prices and reducing the incentive for exporters to sell.
In Brazil, statistics show that domestic coffee consumption from November 2023 to October 2024 increased by 1.1% year-on-year, with industry revenue reaching 36.82 billion Real (US$6.35 billion), a 60.85% increase compared to 2023. Coffee prices in Brazil have risen by more than 50% in the past three months due to reduced global supply following weather disruptions.
According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam's coffee exports in January 2025 were estimated at 134,000 tons, valued at US$729 million. Export volume increased by 5% and value by 6.2% compared to December 2024; however, compared to January 2024, volume decreased by 43.7% while value only increased by 0.3%. This information indicates that coffee exports and prices are experiencing significant fluctuations, which will affect the domestic market in the coming period.
