According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association, by the end of September 2024, Vietnam had exported 200,894 tons of pepper, including 177,953 tons of black pepper and 22,941 tons of white pepper. The total export value of pepper reached US$991 million, of which black pepper accounted for US$781.9 million and white pepper for US$142.1 million.

Data from VPSA shows that the value of pepper exports is lower than reported by the General Department of Customs at the beginning of the month, resulting in total export turnover not reaching 1 billion USD after 9 months.

Despite the slight discrepancies between the two reports, both indicate that pepper exports remain sluggish and the Chinese market has yet to recover.
