On August 5th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien district held a ceremony to inaugurate a solidarity house for the family of Ms. Vu Thi Thuy, Hamlet 5, Gia Hung commune; and to commence the construction of a rural road in Hamlet 4, Gia Tran commune. Attending the ceremony were leaders of Gia Vien district and representatives from Gia Tran and Gia Hung communes.
Ms. Vu Thi Thuy, residing in Hamlet 5, Gia Hung Commune, is in difficult circumstances. Her husband passed away early, and she is in poor health, raising two young children alone. Her family's livelihood depends on agricultural production. For many years, she and her family have lived in borrowed accommodation and lacked the means to build a house. In response to this situation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien District appealed to organizations and individuals to help Ms. Thuy build a new house with an area of over 90 square meters. Specifically, the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank of Ninh Binh Province Branch contributed 100 million VND; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien District contributed 2 million VND from the District's Gratitude and Social Welfare Fund; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Hung Commune contributed 2 million VND; and the remaining amount was contributed by the family, the people, and the local government. In addition, various associations, relatives, and neighbors in the hamlet contributed 80 days of labor to help build the house.
The main road in Hamlet 4, Gia Tran Commune, with a length of 630 meters, has been started construction with the support of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district and commune, and the active contributions of the people. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district provided 2 million VND; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune provided 3 million VND, 10 tons of cement, and 4 cubic meters of crushed stone; the people contributed 132 million VND and many days of labor. On the very first day of construction, the people completed more than 70 meters, and it is expected that the entire road will be basically completed by August 8th.
The projects, which have been started, completed, and put into use, contribute to the implementation of the advanced new rural development program, the model new rural development program, and social welfare work in the district. These are meaningful projects to celebrate the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province, term 2024 - 2029.
