On August 5, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien district held a ceremony to inaugurate a solidarity house for the family of Ms. Vu Thi Thuy, hamlet 5, Gia Hung commune; and started construction of a rural traffic route in hamlet 4, Gia Tran commune. Attending the ceremony were leaders of Gia Vien district; representatives of Gia Tran and Gia Hung communes.
Ms. Vu Thi Thuy, hamlet 5, Gia Hung commune, has a difficult situation. Her husband died early, she is in poor health, she raises two children alone, and her economy depends on agricultural production. For many years, her family has had to live with others and does not have enough conditions to build a house. In that situation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Vien district called on organizations and individuals to join hands to help Ms. Thuy build a new house with an area of over 90 square meters. Of which, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Ninh Binh branch supported 100 million VND; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district supported 2 million VND from the district's Gratitude and Social Security Fund, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Hung commune supported 2 million VND, the rest was contributed and supported by the family, people and local authorities. In addition, the mass organizations, brothers and sisters, and relatives in the hamlet participated in helping with 80 working days to build the house.
The main road of Hamlet 4, Gia Tran Commune, with a length of 630 m, was started to be built with the support of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district and commune and the active contribution of the people. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district supported 2 million VND; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune supported 3 million VND, 10 tons of cement and 4 blocks of gravel; the people contributed 132 million VND and many working days. On the first day of construction, the people built more than 70 m, and it is expected that the entire road will be basically completed by August 8.
The projects were started, completed and put into use, contributing to the implementation of the program of building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas and social security work in the district. These are meaningful projects to welcome the 12th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.
