World oil prices fluctuated strongly this week
Over the past week, the global oil market has been constantly reversing due to the influence of political and commercial factors.
Brent crude oil prices closed the week at $69.67/barrel, down $2.03 from the previous session. WTI crude oil prices were at $67.33/barrel, down $1.93. For the week, Brent crude oil still increased by nearly 6%, while WTI increased by 6.29% compared to the previous week.
The main reason is the increase in production from OPEC+, combined with information that the US imposes high taxes on countries buying oil from Russia, making the market worried that alternative supplies will not be available quickly enough.
Oil price forecast remains unpredictable in the coming time
Some experts believe that if supplies from Russia are cut off, oil prices could rise to $100–120 a barrel. Meanwhile, countries like Saudi Arabia and OPEC+, despite efforts to increase production, cannot immediately replenish supplies.
Despite some positive signs, such as the US-EU trade deal and a temporary truce in tensions with China, a strong US dollar and political risks remain obstacles to oil prices remaining stable in the long term.
