On August 1, in Hanoi , the Vietnam Coast Guard Command held a meeting, assigned tasks and trained officers, receptionists, liaison officers, and a delegation of young officers of the Vietnam Coast Guard to attend the 3rd Vietnam-China Coast Guard Young Officer Exchange Program in 2023.
Speaking at the event, Major General Vu Trung Kien, Deputy Commander of the Law of the Vietnam Coast Guard, clearly stated the purpose and significance of the 3rd Vietnam-China Young Officers Exchange Program. This event is part of a series of foreign affairs and international cooperation activities of the Coast Guard. The program has great political significance, contributing to consolidating and deepening the good, substantive and effective cooperative relationship between the two forces, creating a premise for building and promoting other cooperative activities at higher levels in the coming time.

The program is expected to take place from August 14 to 18, with activities including: paying courtesy visits to leaders of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; visiting fishing villages, participating in environmental protection activities; holding talks and exchanges between the two forces...
The Vietnam Coast Guard Command has selected 25 comrades who are outstanding young officers to participate in activities within the framework of the exchange program. In addition, officers, receptionists, and liaison officers have also been carefully selected to ensure the organization of the event is respectful, thoughtful, and absolutely safe.

Major General Vu Trung Kien requested that the team of cadres, officers and staff participating in the exchange program clearly understand the purpose, meaning and content of the program as well as the assigned roles, responsibilities and tasks.

In addition to strictly complying with military regulations and discipline, Major General Vu Trung Kien also required officers and soldiers participating in the program to overcome difficulties, make efforts to study and improve their knowledge during the training days, uphold a sense of responsibility, and be determined to complete the assigned content and tasks.
On August 1 and 2, officers, receptionists, liaison officers, and young officers of the Vietnam Coast Guard participating in the 3rd Vietnam-China Young Officers Exchange Program will be trained in reception work, foreign affairs, security protection work, and will go on field trips to some locations where activities within the framework of the exchange program are expected to take place.
