6-month savings deposit, name 5 banks with the highest interest rates in November

According to a survey by Lao Dong Newspaper reporters (November 27, 2023) at nearly 30 banks in the system, 6-month savings interest rates are fluctuating around 4.1 - 5.7%/year.

HDBank is listing the 6-month term interest rate at 5.7%/year when customers deposit savings online. Under normal conditions, HDBank lists the highest interest rate at 6.5%/year for the 18-month term when customers deposit money online.

PVcomBank currently lists the highest interest rate for a 6-month term at 5.6%/year when customers deposit savings online and receive interest at the end of the term. Customers receiving interest periodically receive 5.53%/year.

OceanBank is listing the highest 6-month savings interest rate at 5.5%/year when customers deposit online. Customers depositing at the counter only receive an interest rate of 5.4%/year.

BaoVietBank is listing the 6-month term interest rate at 5.5%/year when customers deposit money online and receive interest at the end of the term. Customers receiving interest periodically receive an interest rate of 5.42%/year.

VRB is listing the highest interest rate for a 6-month term at 5.5%/year for both individual and corporate customers.

Deposit 500 million VND for 6 months, how much interest do you receive?

With your spare money, you can deposit it in savings to earn interest. You can quickly calculate bank interest using the following formula:

Interest = Deposit x interest rate (%)/12 months x number of months of deposit

For example, you deposit 500 million VND in Bank A, with an interest rate of 5.7% for a 6-month term. The interest you receive is estimated at:

Interest = 500 million VND x 5.7%/12 x 6 months = 14.25 million VND.
